Alexis T. King, Esq.
Alexis received her undergraduate degree in Public Relations from the Pennsylvania State University in 2013. While at Penn State, Alexis was an active member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, where she served as Standards Chairwoman and New Member Educator. Ms. King was also heavily involved in various philanthropic organizations around campus. Namely, she participated annually in the fundraising and preparation of Penn State’s Dance Marathon (THON), a 46-hour no sleeping, no sitting dance marathon, the proceeds of which directly benefit children battling pediatric cancer at Hershey Medical Center. She also volunteered as a mentor at LifeLink PSU, an organization designed to serve special education students in the community.
Ms. King then attended Chapman University Dale. E. Fowler School of Law in Orange, California. She graduated in the top 19% of her class, and earned four CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, awarded to the student with the highest grade in each class. She received these awards in Civil Procedure I, Trial Practice, Client Interviewing and Counseling, and Mediation.
During her law school career, Alexis served as a class representative of the Student Bar Association for all 3 years, and had the honor of being elected President her 3rd year. Alexis also participated in Chapman’s esteemed Mediation Clinic, where she had the opportunity to mediate over 50 disputes. Through her involvement in this clinic, she became a certified mediator. Ms. King was humbled to be the recipient of the 2017 Dean’s Award, presented annually to the graduating student whose leadership and service to the law school and its students represent a significant contribution to the development of Chapman Law.
Alexis clerked for Day, Day, & Brown throughout her law school career. After graduating from Chapman in May of 2017, she passed the California Bar Exam on her first attempt, and was sworn in as a lawyer on December 1, 2017.
